Sad...but I guess it is also not that surprising as there are so many social media platforms now.
You're probably also caught up with your own work and other stuff; difficult to maintain the site.
Gotta say a big thank you to JCS/Multistars for being there when I needed a Jay website in English!
Would have been totally lost without you and the rest of the guys and gals.
Good thing is I get to stay in touch with some of them on FB now.

You have done sooo much work where the discography and translations are concerned though....it would be a huge loss to not have them online for Jay fans.
Is there a way we can help preserve all that for ourselves and future generations?

I have sent you a PM.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Sigh....I know what you mean.
But I guess for a movie like this, one can't really deviate too far from simplistic themes like this.
Don't forget, this song was written by a 16-year-old; give him a chance.

What do you think of this one?

The other studio song he has sung and which was written by someone else would have to be Cindy Yen's Sand Painting, right?

Anyway, I thought the song was quite catchy and found myself singing and moving along after a couple of listens, perhaps helped by the cute images in the MV. :)
I shall thus respectfully disagree with jaychoufanatic's use of the words, 'terrible' and 'sucks' to describe the song.

It will be a new tour.
OPUS 2 Jay officially ended on 20 December in Kunming.

Promo about the song for Kung Fu Panda with Patrick Brasca, with English and Chinese lyrics:

Hi guys!

Apologies for not keeping up here but being admin of two active Facebook Pages (Jay Chou Diaoness and Jayannah) keeps me plenty occupied.
It's a lot easier to update news and pics there so hope you understand why I hardly post here anymore.
But I am eternally grateful to JCS for being here during my early days of Jay Chou fandom as I would not otherwise have learnt enough.

I hear he will be embarking on another concert tour next year plus there should be a new album as well.
Movie would be NYSM2 and voice of Monkey on Kungfu Panda 3, Chinese version.
Unlikely that he will do another season of Voice.

Check in again later.
Cheers!

NB: One thing I do miss are the frank and no-holds-barred discussions on this forum; something which I can't seem to do much of on the Pages.

No worries, Boss!
Was wondering what had happened but figured you might be busy with work or something.

So happy to see the banner change too!

Thanks and hugs!

Phone interview with Jay from London!

"Jay may write a new song or use one of his for the movie.
More importantly, he is relishing the chance to experience the movie-making process again and to learn more about magic and directing.
He plays a supporting role as the owner of a shop selling magic props. He is, however not very customer-friendly. Hopefully, the audience will enjoy his performance."

With Keith Barry, an Irish mentalist, hypnotist and magician, who had worked with the cast on NYSM.

And a pic with the director, Jon M Chu:

"With the multi-talented Jay Chou on set."

Jay is back at work!

Mark Ruffalo posted this on Facebook and Instagram!

"Jay Chou teaching me tricks and how to act on Now You See Me Second Act."

Hmm...the man just won a Screen Actors Guild award.
He's probably the one teaching Jay how to act...lol!
Gotta love Mark Ruffalo!

Kuso: Thanks for starting this thread!

Jay and Hannah are still on their honeymoon and I'm sure he was given space and time to do so by the understanding director., Jon Chu.
As such, it is not surprising that he was not in that photo.
I wouldn't read too much into that.

He's at the No 9 spot in the cast billing on IMDB.
He has also previously said his role is a supporting one and not one of the mains.

Haha....kuso was right.
I do like this album very much and it's on par with OPUS 12 for me.

Unlike longlu, however, I love that Jay has something for everyone in his albums as he has the capability to compose in different genres quite well, for the most part. It's more fun to listen to and I would not want an album ENTIRELY of ballads or rap songs.
The only genre of his I would want compiled in an album is his zhong guo feng.

Back to AIYO NOT BAD:

Extra Large Shoes has the best MV and never fails to make me laugh out loud at the beginning, with Jay and GPow's bantering. Gotta learn the dance. :)

Handwritten Past, Listen To Father's Words and What Kind Of Man are typical Jay Chou ballads and destined to be karaoke favourites. Yes, they may sound similar to earlier songs but Jay has that something special for each to make it stand on its own.

Qie Ai is very intriguing! I love the rap/cha-cha fusion and the chorus really gets to me! Very, very Jay!

Love the duet with Cindy (What Happened). Much prefer it to Smile (from OPUS 12). This one is a lot more catchy and hip with the rapping.

Tian Ya Guo Ke, as the token zhong guo feng song lives up to my expectations. I generally like all his zhong guo feng (with the exception of Lan Ting Xu, for some strange reason).

Mermaid is beautiful! The intro brings to mind Love In BC and it is such a soothing song. Mermaids are quite the in thing now so he's right up there with the trends. Love it when he croons "Oooh...." during the bridge.

I like his version of Rhythm Of The Rain, perhaps just because I love his voice more than Queen's (fangirl bias).

Now for the fast songs:

Sorry, jaychoufanatic, but All In One Breath is just not my type of song, although I admire how he can sing so fast. Thankfully, it's only about two and a half minutes long, but I tend to forward to the next track...lol!
Yang Ming Shan is not too bad; it's good for a concert and so is I Want Summer, which Jay definitely wrote with singing it in a concert finale in mind. ;)

All in, I think this album is a winner and we should see him at the GMAs this year. ;)

@liasia:

She was working in PHANTACi and one of Jay's friends introduced her to him.
The rest, as they say, is history.

As a fangirl who has followed the Jayannah story since 2011, this warms the cockles of my heart completely!
Loving these two more and more. :)

The MV for Yang Ming Shan was shown at the press con today.
I like the song more after watching it...lol!
