Jay Chou: It's been a long time since I came to Hong Kong. I've come here to participate in a very meaningful event, I hope the fans tonight have a great time at our Sprite Music Cruise party.
Reporter: Jay, hello. What kind of interactions will you have with Angela and JJ in this performance?
Jay: It looks like there will be some.
Reporter: Looks like it, have you not seen them yet?
Jay: I just bumped into them downstairs. This interaction will just be a passing of the baton interaction, the passing of the baton is that after I finish singing I will hand it over to him, then he sings. But I will not be singing with the two of them. I think in the future I probably will, I think we will slowly move towards that.
Reporter: Recently you have been busy filming movies, so for today's performance did you rehearse again?
Jay: I will rehearse a little bit, because I haven't sung in a long time. I hope I can remember the lyrics a little bit more clearly, because I've prepared a lyrics machine, by then I will be able to see the screen, the important thing is I can enjoy it with everyone, I hope to see a lot of fans I haven't seen in a long time.
Reporter: I want to ask have you finished filming "The Green Hornet"? Do you still have time to participate in this concert?
Jay: We're still not finished, I've just come here today, I have to return back at night today, you see, the Sprite event is so big so I had to especially come back to participate, I hope fans can continue to support me for things outside music and also films.
Reporter: Then can you talk about one feeling you have for the filming, I see you looked like you have gotten buff.
Jay: Yes, because I eat a bit more over there, I think I cannot lose to those foreigners, foreigners are buff, so over there I have to train a bit. Filming a Hollywood movie, I personally think a lot of things are piled up with money, they do have a lot of cash, of course in terms of efficiency, Chinese people are the most efficient for making movies, because our schedules are very tight, we talk about what we will film today and we film it quickly with high efficiency, it's fast and accurate, a lot of Hong Kong movies are also like this. A lot of the times for a foreigner it is, good, today we rest, sometimes I have to wait a whole day, then they say, good, today there's nothing for you. I think it's still a bit more comfortable filming here, but I take it as an experience over there.
Reporter: Jay, hello, just before I heard Angela say your English has improved a lot, did you practise it in Hollywood?
Jay: Oh, she's just joking, her English is good, I want to say we can privately practise.
Reporter: In public settings you often talk about a lot of movies you've acted in, including "The Treasure Hunter", just before JJ was inviting you to recommend some roles for him.
Jay: Yea, it seems like he hasn't been in any movies yet, I think he must hurry and act in a movie, knowing the weak point of the whole market, I think he is actually very active, I think if he acted in that kind, you know right now there's a lot of hip hop dancing movies, it's very encouraging, you know, encouraging a kid who can't dance to slowly learn how to dance, until the competition. Right now there's a lot of popular movies like this abroad, in terms of over here this kind is still rather early, it's still in the starting stages, so I recommend if you want to act in a movie, this kind is a bit more active.
Reporter: Tonight's performance is on a cruise, what kind of experience do you have prior? Will you be seasick?
Jay: I don't have experience like this, so I'm really just stuck for thought over here. No matter where the ship goes to, I'll enjoy it. This is my first time for such a great experience.
Reporter: Jay, actually "True Legend" and "The Treasure Hunter" are coming out soon, you've been in both films, which one do you want to be more successful?
Jay: This time both are important to me, of course I hope both are box office successes, it's out "True Legend", then our box office is good like Hollywood, at the end of the day we are Chinese right, Chinese movies, actually the release of these two movies are not that close. Originally they were the same but were separated afterwards, I hope both movies do well.
Reporter: Recently you've signed a newcomer called Cindy Yen and you've sung the song "Sand Painting" with her, can you introduce her a bit? Why did you sign her, what characteristic does she have?
Jay: Yes, I have to introduce her well, because a colleague told me when you sign a newcomer you'll get asked, Miss Yen, our company's newcomer, usually there'll be rumours about newcomers, but let me tell everyone firstly: No way. Because she's my female junior apprentice, can't mess around like that. She actually sings well, when I went on a programme she was introduced to our company by this programme's presenter, I listened to her demo, I thought she could sing really well, I thought she was really promising. At this time I was filming but I rushed back to sing the duet with her. She has a lot of potential, everyone can have a listen to her song. Another newcomer you haven't asked out, he's called Gary Yang, he's my recorder, he's finally releasing an album after being quiet for a few years. Everyone give your support, because our company signs singer songwriter artists, we don't have many idol artists.
Reporter: Can you be a bit more clear about what is good about Cindy Yen?
Jay: She can sing well, in terms of dancing, in her next MV she will dance, she is someone who can sing and write, besides writing, she can sing and dance, this kind of girl is very popular right now in this market.
Reporter: Talking about writing, what's happening with your "Pandamen" now?
Jay: It'll be out soon, "Pandamen" is a piece of work I'm really looking forward to, this TV series can be considered a movie series, but we filmed it in a movie scale. I guest star in it, a lot of directors filmed it together, not just me, because "Black & White" can be considered a high point right now in TV series, I think it is a new revolution, it's made it possible to do a lot of things that were impossible, that's why I think after opening this road, a lot of TV series can turn to this direction, afterwards there will definitely be a lot of comparisons, comparisons are a good thing, after all it has opened up a good road, a lot of people are opening different roads, but the important thing is I hope it has good ratings, like Hong Kong's TV series have a lot of people watching everyday, when I'm at my concert, I can sing a theme song for a TV series and everyone knows how to sing it. Hong Kong TV series are amazing, I hope it's not just Hong Kong, in Taiwan the scope for TV series can be larger, of course the scope for TV series in Mainland China is already very large, I think the main point is money. So I hope people with money can invest a bit into TV series.
Reporter: I hear you especially want to play with everyone on the cruise, but you have to return to work. Recently you have been working and haven't rested in a long time, will you get tired from this?
Jay: No, coming over here I'm really happy, I think it's great, because I get to see a lot of friends I haven't seen in a long time.
Reporter: Well what will you be doing next?
Jay: This year is mainly on movies, I hope to allocate it a bit better, I'm still working hard on my new album.
