To all fans, I am JVR Music's general manager Yang Jun Rong. Today there was a news report about Jay and the paparazzi clashing making it to the headlines. Maybe a lot of fans who support him will again feeling disappointed for him "Why has he got involved with the paparazzi again? Why is he so rash?" Seeing the circumstances, perhaps everyone will blame is rashness like me, but you can also empathise a bit, because he has always had a straightforward personality.

Since Taiwan got paparazzis, Jay has had to endure such disturbances and incitement that keep getting worse for the last 10 years. Although as a public figure, he should have a high EQ, but there's no way I can ask Jay to suffer everything in silence to gain this so called clean image.

Because if it was me, I couldn't do it.

To tell you the truth, if it was me, the clash would be bigger.

Firstly, a report for everyone, since the issue with the paparazzi last time, the company has hired Jay's gym trainer to be his personal security, and to avoid Jay having clashes with the paparazzi who deliberately incite him.

But I'm sorry to say, the clash still happened.

Under the principle of protecting Jay's safety and avoiding conflicts, I assigned a job for his safety ¬¬, that is to record the paparazzi's deliberate inciteful words and actions, the goal is to let everyone understand the other side of the story.

I've been in the arts industry for 27 years already, these 10 years the media environment in Taiwan has made me very sad. Where has the kind positive side of the media gone? I really want to ask, these self proclaimed reporters who are young paparazzis, making up news by using provocation, anger and even humiliating artists, who taught you these things?

I'm a father of two, I just can't imagine, in the future when you face your children, how you can describe the job you do now, how you can make them proud of you.

I'm targetting the paparazzi culture, I'm not targeting people, so the faces in the video have been blanked out.

    • Jay Chou: His Royal DIAOness A personal take on the King of Mandopop, his life and his works, incorporating pics, vids and links to relevant websites and forums.
Here's a link from Channel News Asia about Jay's side of the story:

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/entertainment/view/1231389/1/.html

TAIPEI:

Taiwan superstar Jay Chou got nasty with the paparazzi that hounded him on Friday night, as he left a Taiwan cinema with his mother and rumoured girlfriend, model Hannah Quinlivan, reported Taiwan media.

When one paparazzo questioned him over when he and Quinlivan will be handing out wedding invitations, Chou became upset and told him that he would do so "when you (the paparazzo) die".

The notoriously anti-paparazzi star conceded that his behavior on Friday was a little rash, but remained largely unapologetic about his actions, when he met the media after a promotional event on Sunday.

"It was already quite good that I didn't hit him," said Chou, before explaining that the paparazzi had asked him some highly offensive questions that night.

He added that he hoped "Taiwan will become a quiet place" and said "a lot of artistes would like it if there are no paparazzi in Taiwan".

Chou also took the opportunity to clarify that he did not propose to Quinlivan during their recent visit to London, as some tabloids have claimed.

"I was actually there to shoot a music video. It was for work," said Chou.

"It is funny how this became a marriage proposal."

And the news clip with Jay surrounded by loads of mikes (as usual!):

Sadly, I think it's unrealistic to hope that the scumbags pappz will disappear anytime soon or even at all.
As long as there's a public who want to buy their stupid tabloids with the sensationalised/untrue headlines, the pappz bosses will keep at it.

But I do feel Jay has already exercised considerable restraint...the worst he has done so far is to taunt them back verbally and take their photos.
Seriously, he's more than capable of retaliating violently (and beating them to a pulp!), knowing how much he hates them!
